I'm alive. Stop nudging me. (I kid, I kid. You know I like it.)

This post is public because, for any of those whose friends list I'm actually still on and who happen to remember me, I have cut down my friends list to the absolute bare minimum. If you're actually taking the time to read this, you're probably on it. If you're not on it, please, please don't be offended - obviously, I am inept at keeping in contact with friends or even coming close to being loyal to this journal at this point, so to have a bajillion friends would just be ridiculous for me. The fault is entirely my own, and I acknowledge that. I can't even acknowledge I'll be good about updating from now on, but I do intend to try. There are quite a few of you that I miss terribly.

This is not personal. And if you are honestly fascinated with my life and just cannot stand that you might be locked out of some part or another of it, I'd be happy to re-add you.

As for what I've been doing that's kept me away for so long? I have no good excuse. It's nothing interesting. I wasn't kidnapped by aliens or put in an asylum or anything like that. I've just been living life. I'm still in love with the same guy, I no longer work in Hell at Starbucks (I work here instead, which is really only slightly better), I live in an apartment with a roommate I can't stand but am moving in with one I adore soon, and I have an amazingly cute kitten. I also go to church, but it hasn't changed me as much as it should have, so have no fear.

Much love. I'm sure I'll hear from some of you soon. Others of you are probably like, "Umm... And who are you again?" which is cool, too.

I don't want this to be political, but it's going to be.

Anyway, I just got an email forward from my mom. She's always sending them to me and I always get annoyed because they're pointless and retarded (even this one said: something good will happen to you at 11:11 if you pass this on!) but I thought this one was kind of important.

The pictures under the cut are of the soldiers in Iraq and their living conditions. They're not for the feint of heart. Not bloody or anything, just really, really sad. The email said that we should pray for them this holiday season - do that if you want. I'm not much of a prayer (pray-er, one who prays) myself, but I feel these are important to pass on. Regardless of your religious practices or lack thereof, we should remember these soldiers who are out fighting in the name of our country, during the holiday season and all around the calendar. I don't support the war - that's what makes this even worse - but these photos should not go unviewed.
